Lack of time
While you and your child are waiting in traffic, walking or traveling
together create an opportunity to sharpen their observation skills
through play. Your could count cars by colours or makers, read road
signs and symbols, look for numbers and letters or play “I Spy”.
According to a Unilever sponsored survey of mothers in 10 countries
Lack of time is the second-highest ranked barrier to play and
experiential learning. This obstacle is most pronounced in Western
countries.
While, children may have homework, classes and scheduled activities
that use up most of their day, some mothers report that it is their own
busy schedule keeping their child from play and unstructured
experiences.
Make the most of the time you do have with your child by slipping in
some playful moments.
