Facilitator Training Course
Venue: The Parent Support Centre, 20 Devenish Street, Arima

  • Discover process facilitation techniques
  • Learn how to lead groups with effective learning strategies

Ideal for persons working with parents, youths or community groups

Take a Chill Pill
A stress management course for parents.
Take your child’s advice and learn to manage your stress with a variety of techniques including meditation, breathing exercises and lifestyle adjustments.

Facilitator: Barbara King
Tuesdays 5.00 – 6.30 p.m.
Cost: $25 per session

Parent Education Programmes
Our facilitators have designed a number of Parent Education courses and workshops to empower your parenting. Our programmes are highly interactive and provide opportunities for you to hear the experiences of other parents, learn something new and to practice new tactics for empowered and conscious parenting.

Short Courses - 4 sessions, 3 hours each

  • Anger Management for Parents
  • Make your Child a Winner
  • Tactics for Effective Discipline

Cost: $150 per course

  • Effective Communication
    (Based on the work of Mazlish and Faber authors of How To Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk)

6 sessions 2 hours each Cost: $350

  • Communicating with Teenagers
  • Parenting in the 21st Century
  • Balancing Work and Family Life

One-day Workshops for parents and teachers

the full course is once a week for 2 hours, lasting 7 consecutive weeks, (with Carnival Monday, Tuesday and Ash Wednesday off).
